Krzysztof Wójcik

By profession graphic designer, photographer by passion. My adventure with street photography began in 2011, then I felt that thanks to observation of a public space I get to know myself better and the world around me, and the magic of capturing the fleeting moment makes me the same joy to this day. I met with flaners in Cracow (where I currently live and photograph) at their exhibition, something immediately clicked between us and here I am, a member!

Photographs were created during the trip to Gwaetemala, or more precisely to the town of San Pedro, at the Atitlan lake. I visited the Mayan elders who lived here. I spent two weeks with them during their new year, during which a 5-day festival called Wayeb took place. Photographs show holy places I visited and rituals that are celebrated during the Wayeb festival.
